Promocija " Stripolisa " u Beogradu
Promocija novoforniranog internacionalnog strip časopisa " Stripolis " svoju turneju počela je u glavnom gradu, Beogradu, u prostoru " Happy gallery" S.K.C.-a.
The presentation of "STRIPOLIS" in Belgrade.
That was an occasion where the comic experts and comic lovers could meet the participants in the project of STRIPOLIS. On one side, one could see SLOBODAN IVKOV (theory of comics), ZDRAVKO ZUPAN (the history of comics), ZORAN STEFANOVIC (scenario and review), VLADA VESOVIC (the school of comics).... and on the other side, there were ZORAN TUCIC (the author of comic "Ilihadar"), DARKO PEROVIC (the author of "Blood is not water"), MISO ZIVANOV (the designer of this issue) and BRANKO DJUKIC (the author of this project). The topics included the situation of comics in this country, the position of authors and there were discussions about how a project like this can improve the unenviable position of comics in the present situation.
Branko Djukic, giving answers to many questions, pointed out that without the help of home and foreign authors this project would not be possible.... "Live Aid", which was given by authors from almost all over the world, is something unforgettable. That was the cause not to be stingy, but make a high quality print of this magazine, which is rarely the case in this country. The money, given by the Secretary of Culture, was not enough to cover the third of the expenses, but conquering the financial problems thos project was brought to end. Nevertheless, all expectations were not met, and taking into consideration the economic crisis, I call it a success, Although, there is no excuse for the mistakes made during the creation of "Stripolis"-said Branko.
Miso Zivanov talked about his experience during putting together the design of this issue. He tried to explain the unusual deisgn of this magazine. "My ispiration was 'square' and 'perspective' and resembles those times..."
Zoran Tucic talked about his experiences and pleasant memories while being in Zrenjanin as a guest and cooperator in the project. "Acceptance in Zrenjanin was excellent and so was the organisation. This project should live on not just because of us creators, but the numorous audience in the manifastation..."
Darko Perovic pointed out that he was always willing to cooperate in such projects if he had the time. "I am always short of time, I am willing to help in the improvement of our comics as much as possible with the help of scenario writer Abuli.
Besides the interesting talk in the Gallery, there was an exhibition of the original works of Sandor Gogoljak,Dejan Nenadov,Darko Perovic, Djordje Mirovic Zoran Tucic and other authors who had their works in "Stripolis" from May 07th. 2009 to May 20th. 2009.
These works were certainly the most interesting to younger creators who had the first contact with "Elazar","Warlock" and other comics which were written in the 1980s'.
The exhibition had a great success in the "Night of the Museums".
